Chicago · building permits · month 2017-05
How many excavation permits did Chicago issue in May 2017?
Every matching building permit the City issued from 2017-05-01 to 2017-05-31, counted in the City’s own dataset ydr8-5enu and re-read daily. Filter: Any permit whose work description mentions excavation, caissons, or shoring. 245 in the year to 2026-07-01 — a thin trade, so quiet weeks are common.
